Walkers' stories
John Gillatt
If you want to get a fully illustrated and very lively account of the walk, there is no better way of doing it than taking a look at http://www.gillatt.org/hebrides/
The extra-ordinary John Gillatt walked the whole of the Timeless Way in late June/early July 2011.
“John’s Timeless Way Challenge,” displays 18 web pages packed with details of his experiences and photographs giving a day by day account of this walk from the Butt of Lewis to Vatersay. He also gives his GPS files, (planned and actual) and full details of all the accommodation he and his wife used in the islands. Some of the 1,700 pictures he took can be seen at https://picasaweb.google.com/Giblets09/201106TheTimelessWay#
John was supported throughout by his ever faithful and always smiling “Boss”, his wife Noelene. He is right to look pleased with himself at Heillanish, Vatersay at the end of his walk.
